Interesting CV Trends To Incorporate In Your CV

Over the past few years, I have attended many CV workshops, conducted by companies and universities. I was able to learn a lot and get an insight into some of the creative elements that can be added to elevate a CV!

From the CVs I have been seeing, I noticed a few trends that both serve a purpose and look aesthetically pleasing. Here are 4 really cool CV trends:

1. QR Code To Your Website

This is a really cool feature that you can add to your CV and won't take much time to create. A Quick Response (QR) code is a type of barcode that your phone can scan to take you to a webpage of your choice.

This is a great feature to add that can be linked to your web portfolio or LinkedIn profile. It shows you have made an effort to modernise your CV and can give the recruiter additional information about you that you weren't able to fit into your CV.

I personally use QR Code Generator, which is free and very easy to use. There are many other websites available to generate QR codes.

2. Linktree

Linktree (or similar) is a gamechanger. It is a tool that allows you to create a personalised and easily customizable page, that houses all the important links you want to share with your audience.

You can simply put your Linktree URL in your CV or LinkedIn profile and your audience can see all your links in one place.

Even better, you can combine the QR code trend with the Linktree trend to have a QR code that directs your audience to your Linktree page. That way, they can access all your important links in one place.

3. Creative CVs

I have seen so many of these ‘creative’ CVs go viral on LinkedIn and even Twitter. Essentially, you use the company’s branding to create your CV. For example, I have seen someone applying for a Spotify product management role that made their CV…
